The main draw to this digital laser measurer has to do with its multiple configurations. It comes with two interchangeable heads that aid in measuring both distance and circumference. The tape measure attachment provides quick measurements up to five feet while the wheel attachment (pictured above) lets you measure curves and uneven surfaces.
The 3-in-1 Digital Laser Measurer stores up to two different measurements at once. This cuts down on time. You don’t have to stop your work to write down calculations while doing small projects. This tool joins Dremel’s line of other common household tools, like their flashlight and electric screwdriver.
Compared to other laser distance measurers in this class, the price is about what you would expect given the 3-in-1 capabilities. The wheel measuring tool is a welcome addition, as it’s not really common among many laser measurers on the market.
Oddly, the Dremel 3-in-1 Digital Laser Measurer only measures in United States Standard System (USS or imperial units). This means you have to manually convert your feet and inches measurements into metric manually if needed.
The Dremel HSLM-01 3-in-1 Digital Laser Measurer is currently available at The Home Depot and on Amazon. It is projected to launch at Lowe’s in May 2022. It includes a two-year limited warranty.
