If you’ve been waiting for Milwaukee’s M12 TrapSnake to move beyond toilets and urinals, the wait is over! Thanks to the Milwaukee TrapSnake 25-Foot Auger, this drain-clearing system now covers even more of your jobs with one tool.
The big deal here boils down to compatibility and application. As part of the M12 TrapSnake system, the Milwaukee 49-16-2573 is an attachment that you’re adding to the powerhead you already own instead of having to buy an entirely new tool. At the end of the day, its interchangeability saves you money.
Prior to the 25-foot auger, Milwaukee’s TrapSnake already covered toilets, urinals, and floor traps. With its 1/4-inch x 25-foot cable, this attachment adds sinks, bathtubs, and showers to the mix, allowing the TrapSnake system to help you unclog just about any porcelain fixture.
You’ll notice the TrapSnake 25-foot auger looks very different from the toilet and urinal system attachments that launched with the powerhead back in 2017. With the greater reach, it now has a drum to house the cable.
Feeding and retraction are now more of a consideration. With Cable Drive, the system automatically feeds and retracts the auger. Cable Lock lets you put tension on the cable to hold the head on the blockage and clear it completely.
If you happen to run out of juice or don’t want to use the powerhead, an integrated hand crank lets you operate the auger manually.

We expect the 25-foot auger to be available starting in January 2022 with a retail price of $49.99.
